I was inspired by the movie Inception and I also had a dream within a dream. In that dream, I was sitting on my bed and watching the spinning top spin. Then woke up (in the dream) and told someone about the dream I had. Then I woke up for real and this image was in my head. I'm sure that someone performed an inception and just planted the idea in my mind so I would have to draw this. :D It took about 20 hours. It's not perfect, I can already see many flaws but it's okay.
I think this song from the soundtrack fits in this picture: [link] (Hans Zimmer is a genius)

I used photoshop elements and a mouse. And I also kind of used myself as a reference, so the girl might look like me.

WIP:

Notice that when I draw, I do the sketch with pencils and since I don't have a scanner, I have to take the picture with my camera. Then I continue working with photoshop. So that's why there's the camera data showing on the side of my deviations.

This one was also inspired by Inception

Since you have requested a critique, I will put in my two cents.

I love the distant bobbing lights in the background. To further this illusion, you should probably vary the size and intensity of some of them. Some might be cooler or warmer than others. I love this effect very much myself, and have used it in assignments I've done. I love how you've chosen to use it. :)

I would like to say how much I love the back lit qualities of the figure. The stray strands of hair and cooler lighting sense are a nice touch.

The arm in the right side of the picture seems to lack the quality of the rest of the form. The shoulders are technically further back than the forearm, but they contain more detail than the forearm in question. As an artist, I feel it may be an attempt at depth of field, but you may be better off detailing the arm as you've done with the rest of the figure, and simply crafting a blur in Photoshop.

Overall, I find this work to be quite finished and you could disregard everything I've said as a matter of opinion. In short, You could getaway with not changing anything at all. It looks great, and I'm a fan. Good work Melu!
