Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes. He had this weird furry thing under his head in the reference picture but I couldn't handle any more furryness after painting his beard so I changed it. I used Photoshop Elements and a mouse.
Notice that when I draw, I do the sketch with pencils and since I don't have a scanner, I have to take the picture with my camera. Then I continue working with photoshop. So that's why there's the camera data showing on the side of my deviations.
Try as I might, to give you a fair critique, I am incapable of finding a single flaw in this image.
And I have never seen that before.
They say there is no such thing as perfection, but you have broken that mold. And you've done it with the tool most of us berate- a simple mouse! It just goes to show that its not the tools- its the artist that makes the work as beautiful as it can be.
I wish I could critique you, to give you the ability to improve even further, but I'm finding it completely impossible. And so, I hope, with these words of praise, you will continue to create such phenomenal work and share it with the masses! Congratulations on being one of the greatest painters to ever live.
As a HUGE fan of both hyperrealism and Robert Downy Jr, this image speaks volumes to me. After scrutinising the picture, I am left stunned by the amount of sheer care and detail that the artist has put into this image- even down to the tiny details of the fabric pillow.
The expression on Downey Jr's face is captured magnificently, and though his eyes are so deep, the viewer's attention is still brought straight towards them.
The work that's gone into the lines and creases of his face, each single hair and the cut on the lip- is remarkable and trully inspiring- and the lighting and depth of colour create the perfect moment. If you haven't seen the film 'Sherlock Holmes'; this image is enough to make you rush out to buy it!
Wait a second.. You DREW this? Oh My Gog It's AMAZING!!!!
